45 Adapters - Dress Well, Drink Heavily

In 2013, we decided to cut our next record in a real studio. This was partially to get a better sound, but also because I had moved from my "party building" apartment in Williamsburg to a more family type building. I'm pretty sure my new neighbors wouldn't have appreciated me turning my JCM 800 up to 8 in my living room.

So, we decided to record our next EP with Tom Gardner at his studio The Cutting Room. I was pretty nervous, but Tom was great at making me comfortable. My brain is wired a bit shall we say uniquely; I have zero stage fright, but I'm completely terrified once that red light turns on.

Thinking back I remember that I was super frustrated because I couldn't come up with a lead part for the title track. Then a couple of days before the first session my fingers started playing the part you hear on the record.
